Metroid Prime 3: Skybridge Hera - Speed Trick for 100%

Probably a known trick by now. When traveling to Construction Bay to pick up the missle expansion during a 100% route, it is faster to do Skybridge Hera this way than to use the spinner to boost over and over to activate the Kinetic Orb Cannon. Saves about 4 or 5 seconds.

is it really that big a deal spending a couple of seconds activating a kinetic orb cannon? first of all if u time the boosting right u can activate the cannon in at most 15 seconds, and secondly that cannon will save you all that time afterwards when you want to re-explore the area. in the end, this wastes more time

This would be used when having to go through this area a 2nd time. I've timed it both ways. Activating the cannon takes 4 to 5 seconds longer. And no...4 to 5seconds saved isn't a big deal, but every bit helps for speedrunners.

You can use your own timer...every second counts in a speedrun. And if a speedrun is uploaded to youtube, you can see every second that has passed...

I'm wondering if it would be even faster to go into morph ball mode, then boost to the door after using screw attack...as opposed to using screw attack a 2nd time like I did.

I am pretty sure using boost ball after landing on the other side would be faster. Anyways, thats how I always did it.

can somewon help me in the begining there are doors at this point i cant lasso graplle them i really dont understan why i cant i push my nunchuk forward and pul it back while i press z to lock it whats wrong plz help

i think the delay for the boosting was added in prime 2
