Sixties classic Shes a Mod by Ray Columbus and The Invaders has been given a reworking by The Mint Chicks.

Shes a Mod is a song that transcends the generations and is loved by young and old.

The recording follows Ray Columbus and The Invaders being honoured with the New Zealand Herald Legacy Award at the Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards and inducted by RIANZ and APRA into the NZ Music Hall of Fame.

This special tribute is the first in a new RIANZ initiative to release a recording of the legacy performance at each New Zealand music awards.

All profits from the sale of the single go to the Raukatauri Music Therapy Centre, a charitable organisation that helps special needs children communicate through music.

the original version of this song, before ray columbus was recorded by the senators

in birmingham england in 1964.I played bass guitar along with john bonham on drums and terry beal, the vocalist who composed the song. trevor mcgowan on lead and graham dennis on rythmn guitar. Check our version on you tube (no video)
