SCOTT OF THE ANTARCTIC. 'Birdie, the doctor and me'

IT'S HERE ! The long awaited video accompanying a fine song penned by Pete HUNT and performed by Pete and the inimitable Micky LYNE.

'BIRDIE, THE DOCTOR AND ME'

How Pete has managed to encapsulate Captain Robert Falcon SCOTT's journey to the South Pole in one concise song has amazed those who have listened to this very moving piece of work.

It is a tragic tale of misadventure, resulting in the loss of Five lives, 2 in the freezing snow and the final 3, SCOTT, (BIRDIE) BOWERS and (DOCTOR) WILSON huddled together in a tiny tent deprived of food or warmth.

Roy TYZACK has slaved over the images, found via a number of diverse sources, to produce a DVD befitting the caliber of Pete's songwriting and he and Micky's performing talents.

2012 will see the 100th. anniversary of the deaths of these intrepid explorers and there will, no doubt, be many tributes and commemorations, nationwide.

This song MUST play a central role in any commemoration of this historic event.

If you know of any planned events or exhibitions, in 2012, relating to Scott's expedition, please let us know or point the organisers in this direction.

This song is just too good to be missed by the masses.
