1952 - The Wings start a tradition of throwing an Octupus on the ice during the playoffs, the 8 tentacles representing the 8 wins it took to win Sport's Greatest Trophy, The Stanley Cup
2011 - Gary Bettman continues his Sherman's-March-To-The-Sea-esque siege on the sport of hockey by trying to destroy the tradition. The NHL clamps down in an effort to ruin all fun had by anyone, everywhere. Soon, the league will attempt to outlaw puppies, rainbows, and the smiles of young babies.

Totally awesome dude I'm a huge wings fan fuck bettman he is a little man in a big mans shoe he single handedly almost ruined hockey and its legendary status we need to stand up and boycott until a new commish fuck him I say he even looks gay

LOL at the Yotes fan whining at 1:33. So much for Hockey in the desert, because Detroit "swept" the Yotes back to Winnipeg.
Detroit fans... Keep throwin' 'em out on the ice. Don't let that little punk Bettman kill our tradition. It's amazing that the NHL will fine it's fans...the very reason this league even exists.
