She just doesn't have any bad songs. This is great. She had a style that no one had and recording was still in its infancy when she made these recordings. The band is steady behind her. Doesn't matter what your race -- there's a lot to learn from Annette Hanshaw if you're an aspiring jazz vocalist.

I love this! The last note she echoes the down home blues of Jimmie Rodgers. This is fun music.

A great one, like so many of her songs, they get better each time you hear them.
God, I love this song around about 1:40--she's doing the horn part! For the same reasons, I like The Boswells--so innovative in many ways in the same song.

Annette Hanshaw made all her recordings from around 1926-33 when the 'sound' was unique. From 1934 on it wasn't quite the same, so this is why, apart from her voice, all her recordings are impeccible.
