Anything that is able to be sent over a wire to other countries is going to be sent. H&R block has your taxes read by Indian accountants. High tech jobs are going, going, and going. Eventually (10 years) your surgeries will be done by a doctor in China via robotics. You'll check into your doctors office via a pc and microphone. It's happening in pilot programs as we speak. A time of great sorrow is coming people.

Funny how the democrats always say they are for the "working" man yet they sold them out on this deal. this is why we are on a brink of a depresion. michigan alone lost 750,000 manufacturing jobs!

Hillary can explain it to us, don't you agree? Instead of declaring she was critical about it from the beginning.

nafta and illegal immigration is the same problem - the only difference is that in one a company moves to the cheap labor, and the other the cheap labor moves to the company. If companies were forced to pay the same wages overseas as they do here - they'd stop paying illegals, or moving jobs overseas to do jobs.

There's good kinds of capitalism, and bad kinds of capitalism. The objection here is the belief that NAFTA represents the latter kind.
Technically, Enron was the shining example of deregulated free-market capitalism. Was that a good thing?
BTW, on Bill Maher, they were referring to CONSERVATIVES when talking about people who like to privatize the gains of capitalism, but socialize the losses.
NAFTA != Free Market Capitalism
NAFTA = shining example of CORPORATISM. Tell government to handle something, and you'll find corporations telling the government how to handle it. In a truly free market, corporations would not be able to USE government to legislate themselves competitive advantage, they would be subject to the whims of the consuming public, and entirely controlled by the will of the people.
Deregulation = win.
Give me sound currency backed by something, too please.
