One Way Street-Lyrics:

Hey look yonder
What's that I see?
Well that old bogus honey
Comin' after me

I thought you told her
I was out of town
I wonder how she knowed
I was hangin' around

Say listen babe
Don't go wastin' your time
You keep comin' 'round
You'll hear the same old line

You got a thousand boys
You say you need 'em
You take what's good for you
And I'll take my freedom

Cause lately it's been so hard
To make ends meet, oh yes it has
And honey, you're headin up a
One way street
And I'm down and gone the other way

I thought I knew her
My cagey lady
How could my sunshine
Be so damn shady?
She'll say she love to talk
A conversation
But I'm the one
Who makes my situation

This one way city
And I thought I knew
It's such a pity, honey
I'm dancing for you
Because lately, it's been so hard
To make ends meet yea hey
And honey, you're headed up a
One way street
An' I'm down and gone the other way

There's nothing over here
I never showed you
I made it pretty clear
I'm glad to know ya

You know your brother Spike
Is on the level
But you always lookin'
Like you're mad at the devil

Don't say I copped a 'tude
It's all forgotten
It's just you're much too rude
Your fruits are rotten

You know I work so hard to keep it alive
Now all I hear from you
Is nothing but jive

Because lately, it's been so hard enough
To make ends meet, yeah
And honey, you're headed up a
One way street
And I'm down and gone the other way
Yeah, yeah, yes I do!

Yeah, and lately it's been so hard
To make ends meet
And honey, you're headin' up a
One way street
And I really do feel
That I got to be movin' on

Hey baby, hey baby, hey baby, hey baby
You're headin' down a one way street
An' you're foolin' everybody you meet
I said, you're headin' down a one way street
An' you're foolin' everybody but me
I said, you're headin' down a one way street
Well you're foolin' everybody you meet
I said, you're headin' down a one way street
An' you're foolin' everybody you meet
I said, you're headin' down a one way street
An' you're foolin' everybody you meet
I said you're headin' down a one way street
An' you're foolin' everybody you meet
I said you're headin' down a one way street
You got to get yourself back on your feet

  • @ImTwixtorXD Alright, man. I hear ya. Don't really smoke myself, actually, only on certain occasions with certain people. Just trying to set the mood, s'all. Old bluesy 'Smith is the ideal joint music, and, well, any other rock n' roll debauchery you can think of.

    Anyway, enjoy the Aero.

  • @Animelloveer no i smoked weed a lot too much. i was smoking it furiously and im pretty sure im schizo and bi polar now. Its not something to be done often. it should be treated like mushrooms u know what i mean? like only experimented with not to be done daily and get addicted to *a high* traps your soul man.. u have to be the one that controls your life not some green plant :)

  • @ImTwixtorXD Welcome to classic bluesy Aerosmith, my friend. Want a joint?

  • i don't get any better than this people. classic rock at it's best!!!!!!!

  • @K4Fusion Yes, they've done quite well. Who can forget Revere Beach 1973 or so. Played all the time.

  • These guys were great -- emphasis on were. This song epitomizes the sound Aerosmith should have stayed with. Not that their second and later albums didn't contain great moments, but they slowly lost their way as they soldout to mass appeal -- like many bands did. But who can blame them, being rich and famous can't be all bad. ;-)

  • @motorude I'm sorry my friend, but Jaded, to me, is what I refer to as bubble gum pop music. Now, don't get me wrong, I like pop music. My definition of bubble gum pop is that it appeals to a much broader market and is much more commercially profitable. I was an Aerosmith fan when they were still up and comers. They had no choice but to write all of their music and it spoke to us, their fans. In the late '80's, when they had the success with Run DMC, they realized the potential of pop.

  • @panthers7775 dude I feel the same way.

  • @K4Fusion you can't tell me jaded isn't a good song though.

  • This was when Aerosmith was Aerosmith. Before they became the commercial machine they are today. When they actually wrote most of their own music and lyrics. Man, that's when they were musically good! Good to rock out to, good enjoy with friends!
