@8350717 They didn't correctly install a roof for the elevator shaft, and rainwater was getting into the electronics, which threw them out of service. With that, USC is slow on fixing their elevators, and I have seen elevators on the campus, including these, that have been out of service for months.

Oh... Free on Sundays but no elevator service. So all the spaces on the first floor are taken.

It is like that in Columbia with or without elevators. I actually do not care about parking on a higher floor (unless it is the roof) if I can get a space near the elevator (if it is working). I actually found that it is less likely for your car to get robbed or stolen if you park on a higher floor. It is vice versa for the subterranean parking garages, where the entrance is on the highest floor. For ones with several underground and several above ground levels, I would park on a higher floor.
