DC Microfiction was the first artistic residence at the Alliance Française de Washington, followed by a series of street performances based on texts by French writer Regis Jauffret and the 2008 Paris Nuit Blanche.
Guided by Valery Warnotte and Charlie Windelshmidt, 10 local actors performed 10 short snapshots along two walking circuits in the Anacostia (in English) and Dupont Circle (in French) neighborhoods which visited unexpected places such as a darkroom, a gym club and a warehouse...

DC Microfiction was a project that brought French contemporary theater and literature closer to the people and, unlike in a dark theater, made audience members interact with the performances and each other.

Event organized in partnership with the Washington City Council, and the Dérézo, collectif trans-théatral.
