I'm not saying what he did was right in any way and I feel terrible for the Police Officer who was injured and his family. But Brandon deserves a little respect, I don't think he went out with the intention to hurt or kill anyone but himself.

Check it out, so you can all just shut up. Barrett was a Stryker driver in the Helmund Province of Afghanistan. He did his job well and never complained. When he redeployed to the States he had dreams of moving up in rank and position. He promptly received a DUI and thought life was over for him. He didn't want to kill himself so he suited up, walked around, until the cops showed up. He took a few shots(if he wanted to kill he would have) and let them do what he couldn't. Kill himself.

An AR15 is not a high powered rifle. And it's interesting how many want to assume he is guilty of wanting to snipe people from the hotel without any evidence, when in fact all the videos we have seen show he was not interested in killing people.

Where's the video of the so called "shootout" that's the only one that actually matters.

@slippast Im just saying what I seen he had a high powered rifle with loads of ammo and a scope trying to get to the highest point in the park, I would think he was trying to take others with him. But then he also mite have other thoughts going threw his head.

Why was this filed under Pets & Animals? For that matter why were all related videos filed under the same Pets & Animals Category?

We are not shown any video of the gunfight. We are not being told the truth about what really happened.

I would not be surprised if the cop either threatened deadly force first, or fired his weapon first. That would be the only reason I can see that the police department would want to cover this up with "hero" medals so quickly.

the guy actually fired over 5 shots at a cop car and hit an officer in the calf according the reports and pictures i just saw. it is a miracle he didn't blast the people walking past him on the side walk. i think it was a suicide, he just looks timid and unsure of what to do. he didn't think it out apparently. sad that someone's mental health can drive them to do this, our soldiers need support. if our government's military is willing to go to war, they must commit more effort to healing.
