FIST OF AWESOME - Alpha Gameplay

Footage from the latest iPad build of FIST OF AWESOME, the eagerly awaited upcoming game from Nicoll Hunt's new studio I Fight Bears.

FIST OF AWESOME is a time-travelling-lumberjack-em-up that stars Tim Burr. Tim is a man out of time caught up in a plot to enslave the Earth by populating history with homicidal wild animals. FIST OF AWESOME will conjure up nostalgic memories of the likes of Final Fight, Streets of Rage, and many other fondly remembered fighters from the 1990s golden age of scrolling beat 'em ups.

YES! After the iOS and Android versions are complete, I'll start work on a specially tailored version for PC (and probably Mac & Linux).

Sorry if the movement appears sluggish in the video, might be something to do with the video capture process. The engine runs at 60FPS on the device, and the feedback from beta testers about the controls has been excellent. I'll make another video showing some 30 or 40 hit combos soon and see if that helps :)

I like the idea and the graphics but the sluggish movement looks terrible. Good fighting games need instant, swift reaction.
