  • Okay so when it all moves to DAB which is higher up in the frequency spectrum all analog radio will be gone from 87 to 108mhz . so now the Pirate has 87 to 108mhz to transmit on.

  • AM is *NOT* a band, it is a mode of modulation. With radio stations now catering for all tastes, there doesn't seem much point in pirate stations. People are setting the stations up in order to charge wannabe gangster DJs who just want their mates to hear them. The person running the station takes the money and the DJs get bored and move on or get a job!

  • good to see the government wasting the taxpayers money - wankers where's the crime. A close friend is a telecoms engineer who tells me alll emergency services are digital and the airports only use fm as backup.
