interesting....yeah, red eats ALOT of grass. whenever he see's a patch of grass, he tries to drag you over to eat it. to bad hes not a stallion, she could have tried breeding him and gotten hundreds of giant ponies.
=D
hehehehe, wouldn't that be a sight!

mkay, quick question. Are there ONLY chincoteague pnioes wild on the islands? My freind has a choncoteague "pony", who was born wild on the island, and sold with the rest of the ponies, but uhm...he's almost 16 hands...and the only thing that says "pony" about him is the fact that he has really fuffly voluminous hair found in alot of ponies...so we're pretty sure there is something else in him...just curious to see if there could be anything else in him.

The "ponies" on the island are actually horses downsized from years of living on the island....so yes...some in domestic situations (RICH FEED AND HAY) get larger than ponies on the island. I have never seen or heard of one getting to 16 hands though...if your friend wants to sell her pony...I am sure there would be LOTS of interested Chincoteague fanatics as I am constantly getting asked if I have any Chincoteagues 15 hands or more for sale...
At any size...Chincoteague ponies are the best!
