  • What motors are powering that. Im in the process of making a RC boat out of plate steel, and have got everything going good. But, for a motor I want to use a 18 volt drill motor and battery, and shes about 4 1/2ft long.

  • @offroadingmachine007 :

Main propulsion is from a 12V cooling fan motor off a VW Jetta.

How much will your model weigh?

  • nice work did you make the wheelhouse or did you buy it. I have the Edmund Fitsgerald hull made, (fiberglass) she is 84 inches weights 14 lbs without the deck. How much ballast do you need for your ship. I am thinking out 45 lbs for mine. What kind of speed controller did you use. Pictures of your build would be nice or more video Thanks Darren S

  • thats sooo neat man!

  • kartwood, is the Sykes your RC laker? How long did it take for you too build? Do you have any pictures or blue prints of your build? Will you be videoing any more of the Sykes?

  • @kartwood About 30 pounds maybe more. I was thinking I could get a cooling fan of a car from the junkyard, like your boat that youve got here. Thats i really good idea, thanks!
