A short video of Corregidor during WWII and now. It is a state park and all has been left intact as it was after WWII. A wonderful place to visit.

  • My father was a surivor of this ordeal and atrocity. He escaped and was lucky not to be shot as was the fate of his fellow runaway. My mother was also a survior of the Japanase occupation. They both did not reveal much of what they endured. I lost my oldest brother during that time and I do not know anything about it. My mom did say that the Japanese soldiers that she knew were from Korea and knew the end was near. She said that she could smell them when they approached the village.

  • Thank you so much for this bit of information. I wish others would add to it.

  • Great video Jerry. I was wondering, is the tunnel system still itact?

  • Thanks paladin44302. For the most part the tunnel system is intact, there are a few areas that are some lateral bays that are in need of repair but the main tunnel is just fine..

  • Thanks for the comments. Corregidor is a place everyone should visit to get a feeling of the destruction of war.

  • Thank you for uploading this video Islandjerry. Wonderful documentation and very informative. Blessings to you and all!...By the way, i was there when we had our Bivouac training for our senior yr. in HS (76) and i know much has changed since then. I believe in 77 or 78 we went there via hovercraft ferry and i believe those aren't available now. I'm based in the U.S. but visit Manila each year. Thanks again!
