When Morecambe & Wise left the BBC and went over to Thames TV in 1978, they seemingly had still not paid Peter Cushing, who went on to haunt them for the play they did in 1968 ...
M&W's first Thames Special, screened 18th October 1978. It's out on DVD, go and get it. ;)

Absolutely wonderful :)
And Peter looked very thin here. Yes, he did lose his beloved Helen about 7 years earlier, but as we all know, he never really recovered from that (beautiful) loss,
Nevertheless, he was always a joy to watch (as were Eric and Ernie).
RIP to all 3.

Peter Cushing was a class-act. A true professional and a real gentleman. They don't make them any finer. I have all his Hammer Films. Speaking of Hammer Films, yesterday I went to see the new film HUGO. And guess who showed up? Christopher Lee! My goodness, Chris Lee just keeps going and going. He still has that phenomenal voice.

Very funny. Peter Cushing had a great run with this routine of not being paid and it shows he had a comedic side as well. Thanks for posting this.:-)

@annodomin Yes they are. They wrote several of M&W's shows. I think they did the 1972 Christmas Special. And Barry helped write the 1976 Christmas Show.
