Radioshack Pro-164/163 Trunking Setup

I will show you how to program the Motorola Type II trunking system in the scanner. Also it will work for the GRE PSR 300 because they are the same scanner.

@TheEchoAlpha Damn. I just bought a Pro-107 or what I like to call the ScanPod. Paid $199.99. If these are being discontinued that means the price should drop soon. Got a Pro-162 base unit and this is almost identical to the Pro-164. Wonder if I should take the 107 back and get one of these.

@andyo42670 yeah I went into the store and the manger said it is goin to be discontinued. I bought mine on black Friday for 85 dollars it was 100 dollars off and I had a cupin for 15 dolla off. The only way to get them now is to buy the refurb ones online for 119 or eBay or if the have them still left at the store. But it's not a bad scanner. The manager said they be discontinued because of bad reviews. Mine works fine. People say it's crap because they can't program it. Just watch my video

@GucciWakaWayne yes in my area they are hard to find but in some areas they are very common you just must have a lucky town. Yes their have been many sales with this scanner as i said in one of my other comments on black friday of 2010 it was 100 off and not 50

You forgot to tell them that thy need to press function then 8 after its in the trunk programing mode then enter the number 15

I have a Pro 163 and I still can't figure out how to program the trunking and all of those Talk Group IDs for my county. It has been a pain :(

I have the pro 164 and i have have a channel set up with edacs but i feel like im only getting one side of the convo do you think i have it set up right?

Good video, especially because we can clearly see what your scanner display looks like. I have a county in my area that is Motorola, but the county I live in uses an EDACS system, so I am trying to learn how to program EDACS. It does not look that difficult, but somehow I haven't been able to get it setup right yet, If you add an EDACS video, let me know! Mike
