These will soon be back in action, look forward to it as Yardley is one of the few Brum towersI haven't rung at.

@fartwell2000 Just under a minute. The Devon ringers have the right idea, get the bells up as quickly as comfortable, as that is when the most faults are accrued.

@pretorium Of the towers that I ring at on Monday and Wednesday evenings, the first bit of ringing that the neighbours hear, right through to the last bit of ringing the neighbours hear is shite. The Tuesday and Friday towers I go to are much better. Yes, plenty of ringers can't ring up and down in peal properly. Fairly recently, a member of the CCCBR Education comittee was bleating to anyone that would listen, that ringing up should be no quicker than 5 mins-this video proves otherwise.

I find a lot of ringers cannot ring up in peal properly & consequently the first ringing the neighbours hear is rubbish

Taylors Ho Ho Ho

very sweet sounding peal of bells there
-
I love sounds of bells being rung up in peal

Some towers do this so that when visiting ringers come, they know which one's the treble.
BUT, it could be that the old rope snapped, and they just put another one up, of different sally colour.
-
Very nice. Why is the treble sally different colors from the others though?

I don't know how you do that...but it sounds bloody beautiful...
