During the Ceauçescu-era contraception and abortions were forbidden and so thousands of unwished children were born. After the fall of Ceauçescu's dictatorship many of them ran away from the orphanges or their parent's home to escape the cruelty what happened to them in these places...

They live in the underground stations or in abandoned houses, they live in small groups with strong hierarchies, they copy what they have experienced in their life among adults, their lifes are dominated by violence, drugs and the daily struggle to survive in a hostage world, which offers them barely changes to escape it.

I blamed ana for tanking her brother out of their household, but the stepfather pretty much admited molesting her ("how the hell did he know she´s a virgin bathing her? That means he at least fingered her... that´s pretty sick, and the mom acts like she doesn´t give a shit), of course Ana never spoked about it, but maybe she feared for her brothers well being... I kinda feel bad for blaming her for taking him out of their home, I may not agree with the drug stuff she uses, but I hope they´re ok

Their mother does not hug them when seeing them. She is in complete fear and immediately throws out excuses as to why the children left. Then the stepfather insults them in front of everyone. @6:05 Ana is pleading w her mom as her stepfather berates her. Her mom does nothing! I believe these children, esp Ana, were being tortured, beaten and probably molested by this disgusting stepfather who I won't call a man and the mother knew. I would never choose a man over my kids, poverty or no poverty!
