hey man if you are in the rockies you ARE the food. no mace but pepper spray will work, but if they are that close to spray your gonna bleed anyway.

You need to keep your food much farther away from you than that, and not on the ground either. You need to put it in a tree. And if your terrified of bears just get yourself some mace, the kind in a large can.

My wife and I are petrified of tent camping at night as well after hearing SOMETHING breathing outside our tent and FEAR takes over man .. we sleep in our van now .. NO MORE TENTS thank you very much .. Take care out there ..
