The Boomerang is an advanced exercise in the Pilates matwork. Both a strength and a stretch move, as well as a mental exercise in trying to keep your brain coordinated with your body as the exercise flows, you have to keep focusing on all the different things going on.
The boomerang is slightly easier to do with the TRX, as your arms have something to press on, which helps you control your balance and stability in the teaser (V-sit) positon. The TRX could be a good way to train people who do not have their boomerangs so clean yet. You can even break it down to individual parts of the boomerang as the straps can help you "pause" the movement.
@rolandsc Thanks! i added up a desription. You can actually train clients to get their teasers higher. Just do the teaser with hands on straps like here in the boomerang, and let them use their lower abdominals to get their legs up. I usually let them keep their knees slightly bent at first so i know they're not cheating it with their quads. ;)
