To the people who say you can't make ugly into beauty by calling it art - you're not looking at this in the right way. The beauty in these pictures isn't that they're so different and far removed from our idea of physical attraction. The beauty lies in the pain and perseverance of the people inside of those bodies, who have all had struggles too great for words, who have survived and pushed through it all. You can see it in their eyes in some of the pictures. That's what's beautiful about it.

this song is so true, i feel so ugly on the outside, anywhere i go i get nasty looks i get people who ignore me and say ewww. even at school i would get left out, i also had no friends, and now at this in my life its hitting me harder than ever the feeling of depression and feeling lonely.... i hate myself. it seems no one likes me or accepts me people just disapprove. seems my whole life i was a outcast
