Who else is still buying vacuum cleaners with a bag? Cyclonic separation or water filtration is the best choice.

Im a Kirby Dealer and the sound is totally normal. It's the "techdrive" gear engaging. Dont worry about the sound.

I did this for about 4 days and i quit. No amount of money is worth the time i gave up from my family. Now i have a factory job making 1500 a week.Kirby can suck it

@411NewYork I agree. Any Kirby purchased on ebay is not covered by warranty.

@travistarpy - If you buy a NEW one on eBay it will be considered USED if the seller is not an authorized reseller. Therefore, you get not warranty with it.

@Cave9893 - $2000 in our area (plus a bottle of Wisk to demo in the home) and the seller who demos gets 10% comission from the sale.

This is probably happening on NEUTRAL. if this is the case - you need to replace "Bracket Cam Assembly". Google it or search GoodVac site for 557689 . We have manual on how to replace it.

Our Kirby is realy "heavy" to push with the gear in neutral.........It feels like something "holding back" in the machine! Is that as it should be?

If it is hard to push on a carpet when vacuum is ON and nozzle down - it is normal. This is why they put the transmission in... If it is had when it is off, nozzle up, pedal in N and on the hard surface - something may be wrong.
