Pop N Lock Post Lube Job & Rattle Support

After a couple of months of good use of the Pop N Lock on my truck's tailgate, it stopped working.

I opened it and lubed it with as much white lube as I could stuff in there. I also placed a rolled up piece of closed cell foam behind the unit to keep it from twanging when I close the gate.
