In a traditional ceremony the Sanskrit prayers/invocations etc. will never be omitted, it would be like Jewish ceremony without any Hebrew, or for that matter any religion where the scripture is largely written and utilized in another language. Typically, in modern times the priest will translate and explain the ceremony for attendees' benefit..but sometimes it's like a translated poem or song- some of the beauty and significance can be lost in translation...

Sankrit is language of life inside you body. It have special feeling while spelling the mantras...u can know the meaning and spell it in sankrit in your marriage.
