Just purchased a Sterns & Foster luxury latex bed 92 percent latex. But our first night we felt hot! not as extreme as memory form but hot non the less. Looks like we are going to have to return it. : ( thank goodness we have a 60 day sleep guarantee.

Which are the two softest TempurPedic pillows? I think the Cloud is one of the two…

Great website, thanks for the help guys!

Memory Foam will absorb pressure points allowing your body to slowly and gently fall into your comfort while providing proper anatomical allignment of the spine. Memory foam tends to sleep a little warmer but Tempur Pedic with the dual airflow should be fine. Memory foam can give you the trapped feel meaning transition from one position to the other is slower and harder. Both are just as durable.
-
Here is a much simpler breakdown...Latex pushes you up so you sleep on your mattress. Supporting all the curves of your body with minimal pressure. Allowing proper anatomical allignment of the nervous system. Allows for cooler sleep compared and much easier transition from one position to another.

@LatexMattressCo if you keep a mattress for fifty years then you'll be stinking.
-
Thanks Nick for the comparison but I have yet to see memory foam last for 50 years like I have seen latex. Search 50 year latex and watch the video

@Rupchure Well, with the internet being as it is, there MIGHT be a necrophilia site @3wdotsleepWITHthedeaddotcom ....Just sayin!

@SeeTimeRun391 also...forgot to mention, there are mites in feathers that make you feel that nipping feeling, i had them in my house from bringing feathers in, they are very small and translucent. So good job on getting rid of that mattress..!
-
@SeeTimeRun391 i see - thanks for sharing that.. its important to find a good mattress. i have to stop sleeping on a giant antenna... just want something thats not toxic.. organic wool, latex and memory foam seem to be the only options over here.. glad you;re getting a good nights rest now..!

@SovereignBeing I'd purchased a featherbed after returning the stinky foam, slept on it for one night, then returned it because it felt like it was nipping me in the legs. I decided to buy another fiberbed instead. They may not hold their shape for very long, but they're relatively inexpensive and reasonably comfy. I've even thought of buying another one to put on top of the one I have. No one sleep surface is absolutely perfect for an indefinite time period. I'm satisfied, for now anyway.
-
@SeeTimeRun391 did the smell go away eventually. be good to hear how you are doing with it now..

Latex is pure shit. This clown must be flogging cheap latex coz it makes them huge mark ups.

I recently bought a memory foam topper due to back pain. I aired it out for the first night. The second night I tried to sleep, but the stench kept me awake. I managed a brief snooze after breakfast, but, I awoke Pain Free. Third night, I put my featherbed on top of the foam. Better night as far as smell, but I felt a couple niggles in my back the next day. This foam seems like a cruel joke to me. Comfort, but at what price? Too bad the latex is $400 more than I paid for the foam. OUCH!

Does anyone else think that this guy looks like a young Tom Hanks or perhaps like his son Colin Hanks?

Also the Symbol Response is a 10 inch thick mattress with 52% visco memory foam, 48% polyurethene support foam. They also make another great Mattress which is called the Elagance. Which is a knockoff of the tempurpedic Cloud and is priced at at least 2/3 less the price. Remember, just because its not a sealy, serta, simmons, or tempurpedic, doesn't mean that no one else can make a quality product! Also, Symbol Mattress originated in Richmond, VA and has been in business since 1963!

For all of you people out there talking about the prices of what you are paying, yeah, no matter where you buy a 100% natural latex mattress, it will be pricey, but for Visco Memory Foam, You want a great memory foam mattress, check out Symbol Mattress. THey make the Symbol Response and its as about close to a tempurpedic as you can get, and most places, sell it within a reasonable price. Yeah, Tempurpedic, your gonna pay $2500-$5000 on a temp, symbol's bed for Queen-$500-$900 and is awesome!

Memory foam ppillows, at least what I found, was that brand played a role. My Tempur-Pedic had zero odor, yet the cheaper Wal-Mart memory foam pillows, Mainstays brand those pillows had an odor. The difference, the Tempur-Pedic was $ 79.99, the Mainstays, around $ 12. I found Satin pillow cases, nylon/polyesther fabric helped to reduce the odor, but it might be better just to air them out ? Eventually the odor goes away with the Mainstays. You pay for odorless, but the pillows are the same.
