The song is about my favorite bar in central WI, The Witz End, which is actually no longer there. They knocked it down and built storage units in its stead. When I was a young woman and just starting to tip toe onto the music scene I spent a lot of time at the old Witz End in Stevens Point checking out the acts which would come through and eventually playing there myself. Maybe this will resonate with some of you who have had that special place which you have loved and lost.
