Bonynge conducts superbly and Renata sings superbly,added to an inspired Antonio Vivaldi, and you have in this small recording ,one of the greatest of the 20th century!!

Renata Tebaldi is the greatest singer of the 20th or any other century.this is a voice that would overwhelm listeners in the biggest opera houses yet under the close scrutiny of the recording it ravishes our ears to eternity. this one of her last recordings pays tribute to us and the composer at the same time.yes with her great sense of duty and responsability to her voice she pays tribute to all who hear her.who in turn cannot help to pay tribute towards her. the conductor is Richard Bonynge .

Thank you ilsansculotto: This is from 18th century arias album, recorded in London in summer 1973.The album is a delight, Tebaldi is in lovely voice.When it was released in 1975 Gramophome wrote: "A superb memento, how great is Miss Tebaldi made this recording...."
