a very simple hack that allows you to use the V7 with TSP, pretty much right out of the box. enjoy! oh yeah, "basically" seems to have been the word of the day. I was bit of a mess .)

  • Just wondering if this would work with the ns7 if i were to run it through ssl instead. Theres only one output so I am confused on how to plug it into the rane sound cards and if the mixer would work perfectly.

  • @schijfgram: sorry, this won't work with the NS7. this setup requires individual inputs, hence the V7s. I'm using them as you would use CDJs with timecoded CDs, except the traktor timecode is coming from ITCH. haha, it's 2012 and people still keep stumbling over this video... I should've explained it better, but I was in a hurry. sorry about that.

  • so why can you just midi map the v7's or am i missing somethng :S

  • @JDProductionsTM: you CAN midi map the V7s, but if you want the platters to work properly a timecode workaround is required - because NI won't support the NS7/V7 platters. it's not because it can't be done - it's because the NS7 and V7 are killer controllers and NI are keeping the competition out. it has never been about making life easier for the DJs, that's marketing talking :/

  • would it work with traktor scratch duo?

  • @The1Chappy: yes. why shouldn't it? you just have two decks instead of four, the principle remains unchanged.

  • @traenq ahh safe im sure i can drum up some code for it :P

  • why itch + traktor? i don't have itch

  • @doctorG0NZ0: same thing that happens when you get to the end of a timecode CD. but the TC tracks are 27 minutes in length, so that should be enough for any EDM track.

  • what happens if you get to the end of the timecode tracks?
