Two tracks from "LKJ In Dub", an album by the dub poet Linton Kwesi Johnson. An album that was avidly listened to by many disaffected youth, black and white, during the oppressive years of Margaret Thatcher's reign over a dysfunctional and fractured not-so Great Britain during the early 1980's.
Produced by Dennis "Blackbeard" Bovell this is a dub record of inventiveness and relevance. Dating from 1980 on Island records.

Na moved away years ago, when I found out who the guy was next door I bought a couple of CD's. Quality.
He probably loosens up when hes on his holidays! He was alright, just not the talkative type. Must have been good to have a smoke with him though.

You're still living next to this legend??
I have spoken to him after a concert in Nijmegen,The Netherlands;that time he was very friendly.I even smoked some joints(pot,weed) with him,very cool evening.Unfortunately the Dennis Bovell band wasn;t present that day!

I lived beside this guy on railton road, he's not very friendly, but his missus is lovely, I was there about a year before I even realised who he was, thanks for posting!
