Sister Wendy Beckett leaves the confines of her order in Norfolk, England, to see the art of Europe. In this film, the destination is Rome and the Vatican, and the featured works are Bernini's statue of Apollo and Daphne, Carvaggio's painting the Conversion of St. Paul and Michaelangelo's Pietà. (1994)

  • i think every micheal angelo and bernini painting's and statue's that is in the open that is not protected behind glass is vonenerable to people maybe perhaps have other ideas and would try to break the sacred paintings and statues im amaze all these years havent had an idiot came by and nocking down the statues or breaking off a girl's hand from the bernini's statue or breaking the hands of the statue of david by michealangelo wow it would be so detrimental if that was to happend .

  • I generally detest religion, but I love Sister Wendy. More people should emulate her.

  • I could anyone not love Sister Wendy. I was accidentally introduced to her back in 2006 when I was, dare to say it, channel-surfing, and came across this slightly spunky nun on a special

about various, famous painters that appeared on a local PBS/public access channel. I've been in love with her since.

  • God bless this sweet bride of Christ.

  • @ccipollini1984 "To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment." Being odd is what i like to do pal.

  • @hutton4eva

you have an odd sense of humor.

  • THIS IS THE FUNNIEST FUCKING THING I HAVE EVER SEEN.I LITERALLY STARTED CRYING WHEN I WATCHED THIS IN CLASS. OHMYCHRISTMAS. SAJF,BELJGBLKEWRNGFKSDBF,KWUEGB

  • I wish I could be just as insightful and pretty as she!

  • She is the BEST! :)
