Cwalk Around Asia - Tokyo, Japan - PART 1

firstly, merry christmas! :) sorry if i'm a bit late with this. had a bit of trouble with getting sony vegas working on this computer hehe. hoping this can somehow make up for the lack of videos. sorry if the song gets a bit annoying, just wanted to use a happy positive song because that's how i was feeling when making the videos

just a bit of background on this little project. years back i initially thought of what it would be like to cwalk around the world lol, but i kind of disregarded it after thinking about it carefully. 1, i don't have the money to travel around the world. 2, i admit i'm scared of a lot of things, but if there's one thing in particular that really scares the crap out of me, it would probably have to be flying, and getting sick or vomiting on a plane. i thought about it again back in 2008 i think, and thought that maybe a "cwalk around asia" would be more achievable for me considering that most of the countries there wouldn't be more than a few hours apart.. or not.. but i guess it will also be a personal challenge for myself because i will be facing one of my biggest fears at the same time. so yup, here i am now finally getting started on it.. ^_^ this little trip was one of the things i saved up for during my stay here in the philippines.

i am actually still working on this project at this very moment, so the videos are very recent as i am still travelling with my sister and she is helping me record them. what we do is just go around and see whatever's interesting, take pictures, buy stuff and souvenirs, eat, and then from time to time we stop to make a video. so far i have survived 2 flights.. thank god. i can't really explain the immense joy i feel when the plane finally lands. but oh happy days, oh happy days..

so....

TOKYO, JAPAN:

this was my first time experiencing a country in asia other than the philippines, so i was really excited as i didn't know what to expect. i only did very basic research on japan and can barely speak any japanese other than thank you and i love you. my sister planned where we were going to go, and i just took care of everything else.

one of the first things me and my sister noticed when we came here is that although the rent is too damn high in tokyo, people are still too damn nice! japanese people are extremely nice. no exaggeration, they would probably have to be some of the nicest bunch of people i've encountered in my 19 years on this earth.

also found tokyo to be very tourist/traveller friendly. didn't have much trouble getting around. we mostly got around via train using a suica pass (rechargeable travel pass). a lot of machines (train station, atm, etc.) also have english options, so that really helped too.

overall, i think there is a lot to love about this place and the people and i enjoyed every day i spent here and do hope to come back in future. trip to japan was really an eye opener for me and my sister. definitely something i'm glad to have experienced before i disappear from this earth.

i will go over my experiences in tokyo in more detail in the next video. ^^ just need some sleep.

thanks again for watching and i hope you liked it even if just a bit hehe :) i really tried to capture as much of tokyo and made as much videos as i could even if i was tired from walking around all day. me and my sister would often visit 3-4 places in one day and come back before midnight lol. but it was alright, we found tokyo to be very safe and never really found it to be scary at night.

@chinchingering that's exactly how i felt when i found out about it before i got to japan.. the only thing missing in that pokemon center is the nurses. if the checkout girls would dress up like nurse joy that would be cool hahahah. but yeah, check it out and enjoy =) and don't forget to heal your pokemon! lmao
