  • Ya know, Dottie was bit by a rattler sunny hisself on a sandrock when she was 13 (Dottie was 13, not the rattle snake. No one knows how old that there rattler was). Dottie's pappy says that after that bite she was never the same (again, Dottie, not the rattler. No one really knows whether or not the rattler was changed after biting Dottie). No doctor nearby, they took her to a vet (Dottie, not the snake). Her pappy says they didn't get out all the venom. That's why Dottie is the way she is.

  • Oh, wonderful, wonderful, hilariously wonderful, I loved it. Well done Dottie. I've often thought that some song lyrics can be spoken to produce a greater effect of either humour or pathos that wasn't there with the music. Good on ya Dottie, Eric.
