If I were to rewrite Olympic History, then I would place New York City as the host of the 2008 Olympic Games. NBC News would have extended olympic coverage, New York Magazine would be talking about it, and the International Olympic Committee would gain prestige in the process.
That's excellent news for NBC News anchor Brian Williams and IOC President Jacques Rogge.
