Here is a video that shows how much gear you can carry in a UD 50. This bag has pretty well reached maximum capacity for me, so I will be upgrading to a slightly larger UD 60.

MAIN COMPARTMENT: Canon 7D, EF-S 15-85mm, EF 70-200mm 2.8 IS II, Tokina 11-16mm, Sigma 30mm, 2x Extender III, 580EX II, 430EX II, 420EX ,

SIDE POUCHES: (4)AA Batteries and charger, LP-E6 battery and charger,

REAR LAPTOP COMPARTMENT: HDMI cable, RCA video out cable, Sandisk multi-card reader, Phottix Wireless remote, 77 CPL, 72mm CPL, 72mm UV filter, Cokin filter holder system with 72mm and 77mm rings, square GND filter, 62-72mm step-up ring, 67-77mm step-up ring, 2 filter wrenches,

FRONT POCKET : (3)Micro Fiber cloths, LensPen, camel hair brush, Rocket blower, spare memory card, rear lens and body cap, 3-flash stands, 2-flashlights, 8GB memory stick, IR remote,

  • The UD50 is amazing bag. But why don't you use the zipper compartment pockets underneath the flap?

  • I found the bag got too wide if I put lots of stuff in the front compartments. I don't generally carry a laptop, so instead I used the laptop compartment for some of the various smaller items. With these items in the laptop compartment, the bag keeps a slimmer profile.

  • @msowsun hmm, just odd that in video you unload everything from front flap pocket. :D

  • @Everest21 I suppose I could have spread those items around, but they all fit in the outside front zippered pocket and it is easier than having to un-clip the fastener and then lift the flap to gain access to the pockets under the flap.

The beauty of this bag is that there are LOTS of pockets and lots of ways to configure the bag to suit your own preference.
