  • Handy information regarding those flumes. I've got a leak around the flashing on the roof, and was concerned the insulation would get wet. Looks like most of the moisture probably came right down to the water heater.

  • This is offering homeowners some very bad advice. There is absolutely no mention of air sealing occurring in this attic. Without air sealing fiberglass should be called filter-glass...it does absolutely nothing to stop air movement

  • I love how somebody blacked out the "non" on the IC/non-IC can light that says "dual application" on top. I know it's IC and all, just had to laugh. btw, you shouldn't promote batting in an attic, nobody does that. The material costs more, the labor is much worse and more of it, and it does not perform as well because of the unavoidable gaps and cracks when you have to go around things like can lights. I have blown insulation for others at a lower price than just what those batts cost you.

    i perfer blowing the attic, it does a way better job
