This highly under-aprreciated gem was released in 1979 to little fanfare. With a wonderful score by Jimmy Webb and songs performed by Burton Cummings(lead singer of "The Guess Who"), this film is a true delight. Amy Irving ("Carrie", "The Competition") and Michael Ontkean ("The Rookies", "Making Love", "Slapshot"), star in this heartwoarming film about a singer who falls for a deaf woman who feels that if she loves stays with him, he will never be fulfilled because of her disability. His is a world of music, she lives in a world without sound. Beautiful night shot of the Twin Towers in Mahattan appears in this this clip. I hope you enjoy this tribute and can relive the magic of this rare and wonderful film.
Mike Ontkean is so Gorgeous!! even today! :O)

It is awesome so much of his effort and strength to win a loved one.
Such love does not exist in real world so at least remains this movie for fantasy and enjoy. It is unchangeable, always magic and too beautiful.I adore it.
"VOICES" and "LOVE STORY" are my best movies.

Me, my mom and sister LOVE this movie! It's awesome! My mom has hearing loss so she can identify with the main character.
