Composed by Jeff Richmond for the NBC TV series "30 Rock."

This video is just for fun. Each synthesized instrument corresponds to an RGB channel in the scrolling image (Red: soprano sax; Green: guitar; Blue: harpsichord). Notes played by two or more instruments are represented with more than 1 RGB component. By interpreting the scrolling image, Matlab produces a synthesized approximation of the original theme.

  • Awesome! Do you have this as a midi file please?

  • @Internatube We have a midi, but it's just piano. For this video, we created the "piano-roll" image based on the midi and used that to generate the sound, with our own sax, guitar, and harpsichord voices. We can give you the midi, an mp3 of this video, or both.

  • 30 Rock Video Game! Replace the magic mushroom with a martini, the cape feather with a Brooks Brothers receipt, and you have Super Jack.
