My first wood-cardboard DC-3 with 3m wingspan and with 2x 22ccm crashed on its third flight in Dezember 1989, cause the left motor failed in a left curve. The model had large flaps
but no retractable gear.
MFC-Schwarme / Emtinghausen, near Bremen in Germany.

    Alternative: elektrisch.

  • was it a ziroli kit?

  • No - completely selfmade, from a small 3-side plan, built out of wood and thickly painted cardboard - my first DC-3 attempt as a teenager.

  • I wasn't there but it sounds like both engines are running and looks like your ran out of airspeed and just stalled it.Sorry for your loss.

  • Now that's not fair, ... but bloody funny!!!

  • Probably best to keep the speed up a bit, especially after liftoff

  • AAAAAAAAHAHAHAHA What a loser....

  • stall, wing over, partial recovery , crash.

  • I have similar experience, but mine is an electric. It is very difficult to react at that very moment as one may think the initial yaw is due to stall and may react by increasing throttle. Pushing the throttle stick results in even more yaw and crash is inevitable
