On January 12, a district court judge ruled that U.S. Army veteran Muhammad Zahid Chaudhry be deported to his native Pakistan. Zahid has been a permanent resident for more than a decade and spent nearly six years in the Army National Guard. During that time he sustained injuries to his back that require him to use a wheelchair. Zahid is been married to a U.S. citizen and has two step-children and four grandchildren.

After being honorably discharge from the military Zahid applied for U.S. citizenship. His failure to previously report misdemeanors committed in Australia in the 1990s on his residency application led to deportation proceedings. Zahid and his wife Anne continue to fight for him to stay in the United States.

  • wtf! he has earned his citizenship! So, our government thinks he's good enough to serve this country, sacrifice his body for this country, but not to live here and be a citizen? Those of you who comment against him, you're lucky people like him are brave and honorable enough to serve. Did you even read it at the end? He didn't lie when he entered the military. He deserves to be a citizen, just as much as you or I do.

  • I love you, Brother Zahid!!! I give you my Heart, for ALWAYS!!!! Peace. :) And I am so sorry for the horrible, horrible things people have said here, :(

  • @arivas713 How about George Bush and Rumsfeld?

  • @arshia2008 Zahid and Ann are very much in love--their mutual loyalty is touching.

I've met Zahid, unlike yourself. He's an honorable gentle man, a jewel, who this country and our community cannot afford to lose. I'd be honored to have him as my neighbor. He has done far more to deserve American citizenship than I have. The deportation action against him is retaliatory for having the gumption to petition for a write of mandamus to expedite his application for US Citizenship. The arguments against him raised by government lawyers are petty and specious.

  • @pazpaz316 Yeah, because it was so much harder to go stand in line where he couldn't get hurt. Instead he takes the easier route of having to actually FIGHT to EARN his citizenship instead of PAYING for it, because we all know that if you PAY for your citizenship you can't be a dishonest person. Heck, even if you are born here you can't be a dishonest person OR a cheat.

  • I love you, Brother Zahid!!! I give you my Heart, for ALWAYS!!!! Peace. :)

  • people should stop supporting these cheats who disguise themselves in honor or serving the country and other bull shit when all they wanted was to gain Citizenship Illicitly..

This guy is a fraudster even before he came to USA. he is a cheat and dishonest person. He should be righfully deported.

this show dosent show the REAL picture. WAKEP UP america

  • Yeah, what a mentality, to think that when you lie, you have to pay the price. Wow, what a concept. Any immingrant that is here illegally, damn right, deport them all. If you came here legally, then enjoy your stay and welcome.

  • @scootterpootter your right. deport all immigrants that way they can call the draft. You dont want someone to protect you. You dont want someone to risk his life for you that has lied. wow. What a mentality.
