KAYAK FISHING SAILFISH

This was my first kayak billfish. Went on a solo paddle to see what I could get into. Needless to say it was a good day! The fish unfortunately did not make it but all the meat was donated and put to good use. He ended up being hooked in a bad spot after all the thrashing and head shaking and couldn't get him in good enough shape for a good chance at surviving. It was exciting and disappointing but that is fishing sometimes. I learned some important lessons on this battle and have been even more dedicated to catch and release since.
