wow great job, I'm actually looking into buying a hc9, any words on it? also just so I get this right, you only messed with the settings and put on a film lens? brilliant!
@shawheeen Yeah, The only thing done in editing is cropping and contrast(no colour correction).the HC9 is a good camera, but only really can be used for filmmaking when you buy a letus 35, which is a DOF adapter.
It is the device which allows you to use film lenses, with manual aperture and focus control. There are some minor flaws to the camera, but when you take the time and effort to use the settings well, along with a DOF adapter, you can get some great results.
@shawheeen Film Lenses also give you ultimate control over your DOF and aperture, which, alas, the HC9 is not great at.
I really like using the camera, it's well designed.
If you have the money, the 5D Mk II will give better cinematic results, as well as better overall image quality, but that depends on what you mostly want a camera for. If you want fantastic image as well as cinematic video, then the 5D is the go, while the Hc9 has many more in camera options for greater video control.
How did you change the aperture on your camera, because the letus35 mini needs to be under f5.6. The aperture on the sony can't be changed, only the exposure compensation.
yeah, It was all done using the Letus 35 mini. When you use a film lense, you get those amazing lens flares, and the great colours, as well as really small depths of field.

what do you mean? It doesn't matter what aperture the sony itself is at, only the film lense attached to the Letus.
Hope this helps
