  • not a lebaron, its a mustang. also, its a shame theres not too much lone star left aobut lonestar beer.

  • oh, yeah. you're right. looks similar. I wonder if horses were really allowed in bars back then.

  • I sooo remember this commercial. Mid to late 80's for sure.

  • I believe I recorded this on VHS in 1988 based on the news I was recording at the time. I love the LeBaron convertible.

  • Why dont you all go to hell and i will stay in texas and drink my lone star beer. For god sakes this is a vintage beer commercial not a politacal debate; just grab a beer you sob's and get to drinking, and remember the damn alamo.

  • 0:36 upskirt!

  • What is the song titled - in this commercial?

  • @texas40 Hi there, I'll try to find them...it was quite awhile ago and tape (like us) deteriorates. Dotjoiner1

  • Where is the scene of the dude beating his wife? She is kind of a bitch...

  • @dotjoiner1 It would be great to see the other spots

  • @jgdgr81 Shiner is a much more Flagship of Texas beer than Lonestar. Lonestar is what you drink after three or four Shiners and you arent drinking for the flavor anymore.

  • Why is the national beer of Texas taste like piss?

  • @lawyerpaco The 3 spots were shot late '87 and went to air early '88. They were shot around Houston and Sealy with Galveston (to a lesser degree). The visuals over 'The carpetbaggers packed their bags and went' were filmed in Sydney, Australia (I had to get home for Christmas). The singer was a session harmonica player from Los Angeles: Norton Buffalo. I enjoyed working on the commercials and are happy people remember them.

I'll try and post the other spots if you're interested.

  • @sethag04 not too much lone star left about lone star beer? what do you mean

  • Lone Star commercials only existed in the 1960s. The rest are weak attempts.

  • @roodeeet It's called having talent, actually singing and playing an instrument. They just talk and yell in rap... you just gotta know how to rhyme good and that's taught in 3rd grad Dr. Suess books.
