Celtic Woman & PS22 Chorus "YOU RAISE ME UP" at Radio City Music Hall

Last night was an absolutely incredible experience for the PS22 Chorus of 2010, performing with Irish music sensation Celtic Woman at their February 27th 2010 performance at Radio City Music Hall! Chloe gave the kids such a beautiful introduction which led into this magnificent performance of "You Raise Me Up" originally made famous by Josh Groban, who recently discovered the PS22 Chorus himself! (He linked to our cover of Empire State of Mind on his blog just last week!) It was truly an epic rendition of a great song, and one of the most beautiful music-making experiences the PS22 Chorus has ever been a part of.

Thanks to Celtic Woman for giving these kids the thrill of a lifetime, and for being so down to earth and embracing this our kids and this entire experience wholeheartedly. The kids felt your genuine apprecation, and we have all been duly touched by it. In the next video to be posted you will hear some of the kids reactions to the experience on the bus ride home -- Celtic Woman definitely created 65 new devoted 10 year old fans this past week!

And as wonderful as this video is, stay tuned for perhaps an even more poignant acoustic version of "You Raise Me Up" from our rehearsal on Thurday!

I would have bought tickets just to see PS 22! But hey the Celtic women group is phenomenal too. They look like fairies from the deep woods. A people evil has never touched. The best to all of you! God Bless!

I think the Chorus was actually singing their songs. I just got through watching the DVD of the Believe tour from Atlanta's Fox Theater. They had the gweneth school choir with them but they lipsynced to a recorded track of the kids singing. I don't think PS22 was lipsyncing to this,

I love to see the kids enjoy every moment of their spot light. Great job to the teacher put their heart and soul and it reflect thru the kids....thank you for sharing the moment.
