AP-GfK Poll: Presidential Race Tightens

John McCain has all but erased Barack Obama's lead in the presidential race because of gains among white men and women, according to an Associated Press-GfK poll. (Oct. 22)

simple pattern. The day mccain rolled out his phony 'joe the plumber' story, polls started swinging back in his direction. mccain is honest in that obama will raise taxes, but cleverly leaves out it's only for those making over 250k. At the same time mccain raises taxes indirectly by taxing health care. If you notice, the poll boost comes from whites lacking college educations. They are basically not smart enough to connect what mccain is really doing which is to be tricky about policies.

Look at the internals of this poll. It makes no sense.

1. They weighted born again/ evangelicals at 44% when they only make up 22% of the electorate.

2. 70% of the people filtered out of the poll were Obama supporters.

The internals on this poll make almost no sense, unless they are scewing them on purpose to make it seem like a tight race.

I would not trust any polls from these guys until they fix their internals. Its pretty horrid.

America needs to make a u-turn from the direction it has taken. I'm voting for the ticket that's against the war, against censoring what I listen to or read, who's done more for women by crafting laws like the Violence against women act, who's about creating jobs for working clitizens. As did Obama with uneducated blacks. The only reason that a lot of black people are voting is because they want a black president. I think voting based on the color of skin is ridiculous but it's a barrier that America will someday overcome. I personally am voting for McCain simply because I think he will make a better president.

I am a registered Indy.Voter.When these so called unbiased pollsters call I tell them: I am going to vote for Obama. Or I am gay. Or I am Muslim. Or I am Latino. Or I am rich.I even told a an Obama pollster that I was a recently released Federal Prison convict. The pollster said I could still vote for Obama. Only expect 500-1000 per year less with Obama's 250,000 and under and everything else will go up to compensate. I believe in Change but little by little because our current situation is delicate. To much change will make us come tumbleing down. I believe that we should freeze everything as it is and then start cutting back. That way we'll get rid of the fat.

Republicans are quiet until election day, then we come out in the millions. Everyone I know is voting for John McCain. Obama is WET BEHIND THE EARS and to inexperienced to be President especially at a time when our Country needs leadership. He is buying peoples votes with false promises open your eyes. Wall street is reacting because of Obama as the polls tighten it will calm down. Watch for yourself.
