Hi there, I used a China Glaze polish then a gel top coat and it chipped and lifted on some of the sides of the nail. It was my first time using gel (top coat) polish and maybe I had applied a bit much on the sides where it had touched my skin. Anyway, should I have put the gel base coat first the the regular polish? Can I really get away with using regular color polish instead of gel color polish? I still would like the high shine the gel top coat has to offer. The reason why I used China Glaz
