Kimya Dawson - You Love Me - ASAP Cats Greece

ASAP is a charity based on the island of Alonissos in Greece- Alonissos Society for Animal Protection.
Their website was hijacked a few months ago, but once I have details of their new address, I will add the link on here.

GREEK CATS....
Stray and wild cats are a problem on the Greek Islands, most not receiving medical treatment when needed, nor regular food.

WHAT ASAP DO.....
ASAP have initiated a feeding program for the stray cats on Alonissos, with feeding points around the island. Run by a handful of caring individuals, it is funded by donations and membership to the ASAP group.
Thanks to ASAP, the cats on Alonissos get access to vets. There is a neutering program, and the cats we saw while on holiday were all healthy looking, well fed and looked after.

When on holiday on the Greek Island of Alonissos, we shared our holiday with a family of stray cats who decided to join us for the week.
Very jumpy at first, they came to become very lovely and friendly cats, we were very sorry to leave them behind when our holiday was over. And if there were the choice, we might have attempted to take them home. Sadly, the quarantine period to take cats from Greece to the UK can be as long as 6 months, and we couldn't put them through 6 months of little human contact, no cuddles. It would be a frightening and horrible experience for them. And they would likely arrive as different cats from the ones we grew to love.
