Sometimes relationships don't turn out like a fairy tale but if your lucky there's always an epiphany somewhere along the way. Kyle Nix, Fiddle player and singer for The Turnpike Troubadours, sings his song "Austin to Ashes" at a Hank's Texas Grill performance. A classic tale of lost love, and found self worth. One of my favorite tracks on the "Bossier City" CD. One I'll bet will soon be one of yours too.

I would like to formally state I think the "Austin to Ashes" song written by Casey Sliger, formerly of The Turnpike Troubadours is an awesome song. I looked for information on Casey, but couldn't find much. If he is still writing and performing we would love to hear form him, and some more of his songs. We thought Kyle Nix did a great job singing and playing guitar to it also. Thanks for setting the record straight folks!

Kenith, I have no idea who wrote the song. If you send me his info I will be sure to give credit where credit is due. If you knew us at all you would know we are all about the songwriters as well as the musicians. we just really liked the song, and thought this guy did a great job of singing it. We had never heard it before. We will be sure to look up Casey Sliger. BUt I have to disagree with you about the Turnpike Troubadours though, THEY ROCK DUDE!!! :D

To hell with Evan, where is Sliger's name? Ugh, stop doing this song if you're not gonna mention who wrote it. Casey Sliger rulz! Troubadours SUX! lolz
