It's all a lie, The Book of Mormon..and I was a Mormon at one time many years ago. Although Mormons have strong family values, (which is what they use to lure people in) they are a cult. Mormons believe and are taught that the more they bring in to their religion, the more powerful they will be in Heaven. They teach of a power that is equal to God...sorry guys, you can't be more powerful than your creator.

While there is archeological evidence for God and the Bible, there is NO evidence for the Book of Mormon. Trust me. Been there, done that.

@EuanMan13 There is apparently records kept by the Romans of the time that mention Christ, it's not overly flattering what has been written about him, but it is there. But whether or not you can use it as confirmation of Jesus being the son of God is another matter.

@Daisy65ful Not only does the church NOT teach that people can become equal to God the Father, you contradicted your own argument when you said: "They teach of a power that is equal to God...sorry guys, you can't be more powerful than your creator." So which is it? Equal to or greater than? You can't have it both ways, and even if you could, the church doesn't teach that people can become equal to God, let alone greater than God.

@Daisy65ful If you can't define cult without looking it up, don't use the word. If you were to use the dictionary definition of the word "cult" then every religion, besides Catholicism, is a cult. Third, Mormons do not believe, nor are they taught, that the more people they bring into the religion the more powerful they become in Heaven. That is not, nor has it ever been, doctrine of the church. Finally, the church also does not teach that people can be as powerful as God the Father.

@Daisy65ful Your post is so foolish that it requires a response regardless of the fact that you wrote this about a year ago. First, I agree, Mormons do have strong family values. However, this is not used to "lure" people in. It is taught in equal measure with every other foundational precept of the religion; first and foremost however, when missionaries teach people, they teach them to pray and ask for themselves. Second, I bet you don't even know the definition of the word cult.

@TheDarvus I don't recall any ancient Biblical scripts being written in Italian. But I do recall ancient manuscripts in the thousands ( some partials) but more in number than any on earth. More, as written language with an alphabit the Hebrew manuscripts are clearly Biblical documented History. I don't actually give a hoot what devilish liar you find with a book that tries to discredit actual real History to achieve an agenda of unrighteous denial. What are you trying to achieve here?

@TheDarvus What you and I have incommon is we sit in the same jury box. Our difference is obvious...my verdict on evidence presented is to place my faith in Jesus. While your faith is in who....? josephus. I suggest an inventory of your cognitive faculties but hey...you like josephus better you heard the evidence from your seat in the jury box just like every body else. Run with that Forest...run.
