  • 安藤美姫さん頑張りました。復活おめでとう

  • First of all before you post nasty comments on Miki, let me tell you some great news for real fans of Miki.. Miki won the Short program or Long Program of the Free skate at Universal Sport, so I would like to offer Miki my extensive congratulations to her. Please don't be rude or nasty, Mao fell into 5th place and Alissa Czisny was placed in 4th above her. I saw why Mao was placed 5th... She fell a lot, and I was pretty disappointed in her skate. Miki made an enormous comeback!!!

  • @chopper0 Anyway, Yuna and Miki are both good players, Mao as well. Hopefully Miki will show us a better Requiem and Cleopatra 2 weeks later, and give Yuna a real challenge.

  • @chopper0 Exactly. Mao's music is my favorite among all long programs this year, although I don't think she is "old" enough to perform a dark, heavy and deep theme like that.

I think it's just you like the pop music, and I prefer classical one. Such as the Russian coaches like Morozov and Tarasova enjoy classical music more, but US and Canada coaches may not like it so much.

  • Er... yes Yuna got a high PCS score, it's no doubt. And I admit her transition, footwork and connection among elements are really good. I just didn't feel the soul of music. It's like, you can move all the movement, footwork and arrangement to any other music, but you feel not much different.

Anyway, I don't want to argue with you but I have said "in my opinion". Yes, maybe I am the only guy who is not moved by Yuna's LP this year :)

  • sorry.... but "not profound"... typo

  • I am sorry if I bothered you once. But as you said, everyone has different opinions. I like Yuna actually. I think she is good, physically and artistically. And now she is better than Miki. However, It's also true that I feel nothing from her lp music this season. Sp is OK, but profound....maybe too picky.

Forget to mention, "seductive" this word, is not from me, but from an ex-officer of ISU. He praised Yuna a lot, but this word is funny imo.

  • @chopper0 Requiem is one of the greatest from Mozart and even in the classical music history, and Miki should have been a good performer on this heavy topic of death, soul and religion. However, I think her technique just degenerated in this year, and she was not in a good condition in OG.

Her EX program is really good. It's better than the sp in OG in my opinion.

  • @chopper0 I don't think so actually. I don't like the music for Yuna's lp. I have practiced piano for 20 years. I know some pieces from G.Gershwin. But I still don't like that music. You can't feel the "soul" from it. If you change the music but with the same motion, it's no difference. However, I enjoy the music for Miki and Mao, specially for Miki's sp.

  • @chopper0 No....Miki is not working as hard as Yuna... As I see, Miki practices only 28 hours per week, but Yuna does 48 hours!

  • @chopper0 I agree Miki is not as good as Yuna in artistry. But I didn't feel the "heart move" as you said. Actually in this era, Akiko Suzuki is the real performer.

I haven't seen any moving program after the retirement of Kwan, Slutskaya and Cohen.

  • @chopper0 I am a Miki fan, and I think you are right. And Miki needs to show more emotion by face. Do you really believe Yuna understand the music well? I don't think so. But she pretends to do that by some "seductive" smiles and motions, and she gets the high scores. Miki needs to improve, or she will be kicked out by Mao and Yuna, even American gilrs.
